Seated with Him
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:3
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4-7 NASB95).
How can we be seated with Him; a place of safety, authority, acceptance, and love?
We often look for logical answers to spiritual questions. Looking to life experiences for guidance will stall your spiritual growth. But these verses in Ephesians give us a key to being seated with Him.
The ‘how’ is not a mental exercise, but a shift in relationship with Holy Spirit. This is not mental ascent, but a deep well where we draw pure water and drink. Jesus qualifies us to be seated with Him (Colossians 1:11-12).
…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJV).
This scripture is packed with Holy Spirit realities: That Christ may dwell in our hearts; rooted in love; comprehend four dimensions; know the love of Christ that passes knowledge; be filled with the fullness of God. All of these are impossible without His faith.
Many people and the scientific community have attempted to reach higher levels of consciousness without God. All those attempts pale in light of what Holy Spirit does in the life of every believer.
The scientific world discovers many aspects of kingdom principles, but they can’t even fill in the blanks. As believers, we have been given knowledge that originates from God’s heart and proclaimed by His word.
Since we have the mind of Christ, we should pay closer attention to a 4th dimension, entanglement, and superimposition. “The fourth dimension is generally understood to refer to a hypothetical fourth spatial dimension, added on to the standard three dimensions (New Scientist).”
There are many scriptures that refer to things we can’t see in a three dimensional world, but only imagine. Peace that passes understanding, seated with Him, speaking in tongues, and prophecy are a few examples. Why would the Lord use this method of communication for revealing His blessings?
I think if His blessings were unveiled to those who don’t believe, corrupt hearts would mock His blessings and cause many to fall away. Making gifts and promises accessible by His Holy Spirit, and the gift of faith to us, safeguards casual access. This encrypted method of communication makes seeking the Lord through His word exciting. His will is not hidden from us, but for us.
Only God could engineer such a communication network where His will is distributed worldwide, instantaneously to the hearts of the saints. Those that are trained in hearing Holy Spirit serve as communication repeaters to those that are uninformed.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Luke 11:10 NKJV).
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe (Philippians 3:1 NKJV).
We should not grow weary with the weak but count it an honor to serve as God’s mouthpiece on the earth.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25 NKJV emphasis mine).
The word live means to live i.e. pass life, in the manner of the living and acting.
The 4th dimension is a reality, foreign to the carnal mind, but the mind of the Spirit gives us understanding. Who would ever think of the glorious wisdom conveyed to us by Holy spirit? Sounds weird, but the example of Holy Spirit leading lives is not commonplace today. The heroes of faith in the Holy Scriptures give us a glimpse of what they were seeing through spiritual eyes. We can do the same!
“If you don’t know what will happen before it happens, you are walking by sight, not by faith. Faith knows the outcome before it comes out! Anything that traps you in the realm of your senses will have dominion over you. If sickness can keep you in the sense realm, it can destroy you; but if you deal with sickness from the faith realm, you will destroy it.” (Barry Bennett He Healed Them All)
The fourth dimension - the “secret place” - is where His word and faith merge in power. Holy Spirit will reveal things more clearly when we separate ourselves from reliance on the 5 senses. TBC
